Holy Cow - Delhi & Shimla!

By jingo we're here! Well, we're in Shimla now, which is the kind of place that Rudyard Kipling would have thoroughly approved of. Lots of Colonial pomp and circumstance. But let's start at the begining.

3am, driving towards our hotel and I think it was the sight of an ancient man (approx 300years old), sat in the middle of the road with a bonfire next to a cow, which let us know we'd arrived. I think his name was Alf, but I may be wrong on that one. Delhi, let's face it, is a bit bonkers. Helped by the fact that we arrived the day after Holi, the festival of colour, where everyone lobs coloured powder at each other, dogs, cows, whatever gets in the way. So a lot of locals had splodges of colour, whilst all the trippy dippy hippies were covered from bindi to toe ring in the stuff and looked like victims of a chemical factory explosion.

I (ant) attracted the attention of what Jenny thought were ladyboy/heamaphrodites on a rickshaw...nuff said. Actually, while we're on the subject of rickshaws/autorickshaws/any form of transport, let it be noted that we've already taken on board the Hindu trust
Auto Rickshawsin reincarnation, as that's the only way of having faith that your journey will not end in a messy and painful death.
